Don't feel like picking up your drumsticks? Listen to some music!

Today's Setup: Remo 18" Tuneable Practice Pad / Vic Firth American Heritage 5A Drum Sticks
Tip #12 Listen to music!
There are many ways to practice. Moving drumsticks with your hands is only one of them. As anyone who's ever learned an instrument knows, music is 80% mental, and 20% physical. Try active or focused listening to a song you've heard a million times before, but haven't learned. Listen to and analyze the drum part. Imagine yourself playing it. Start and stop the music as necessary to focus on specific grooves, or fills.
Even if this doesn't motivate you to sit at your drums or practice pad and move some drumsticks, it's a great exercise and a valuable use of your precious practice time.
