Tip #6 Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself
Practicing in front of a mirror or recording a video of yourself while you play will give you a new perspective on your playing. It's often easier to see potential problems from the outside looking in.
Recording your practice sessions, (audio and/or video) allows you to listen back and catch some things you may miss in the moment.
Listen for tone, and timing issues. Watch yourself for tension, and technique issues.
